Comprehensive delegate notes to accompany the Fire Risk Assessment / Fire Risk Management course will be provided, however the course will refer to Building Regulations Approved Documents, BSI Documents and / or Fire Protection Association Documents which should be available for reference. Ideally these should be obtained prior to the course commencing however they can be supplied at cost. Details of relevant documents are available on request.

It is recommended that delegates attend a one day refresher course every 3 years after attending this course.

Course Objectives:

  • To enable delegates to understand building structure and it's likely performance in a fire
  • To make a considered, subjective assessment of the risk from fire and the likelyhood of a fire occurring
  • To ensure employees are trained in 'first aid' fire fighting techniques and evacuation techniques
  • To maintain effective records
  • To recognise when 'third party' fire risk assessment is appropriate

  • Fire safety systems, their maintainence & testing
  • Fire routines and evacuation procedures

  • Practical fire risk assessment exercise with delegate debrief
